Most businesses have been affected by coronavirus pandemic resulting in reduced income. That is extra hard for places like zoos – they rely on money from tickets to pay to feed animals and for keepers to keep looking after them. We have all been touched by efforts and dedication of the staff and volunteers who have been doing their best, including moving out of their homes to be closer to their animals and keep looking after them when the restrictions were at their strictest. Although zoos in England and Wales have recently opened their doors to the visitors with all safety measures in place, they still need help to carry on. We thought: what could we do?
NationWide Laboratories partnered up with The Webinar Vet to bring forward an idea of helping out Chester Zoo in crisis. We put together a bundle of 2 CPD sessions delivered by Dr Madonna Livingstone BVMS MRCVS: Common Conditions in Uncommon Species and My Approach to the Anorexic Rabbit. Part of the proceedings from the sale of this bundle will be donated to Chester Zoo. So, by subscribing to this bundle you do not only get an opportunity to access good quality content about exotic animals for your CPD, but also get a chance to make a difference.
James Herriot once wrote: “I hope to make people realise how totally helpless animals are, how dependent on us, trusting as a child must that we will be kind and take care of their needs”. This joint project delivered to you by NationWide Laboratories and The Webinar Vet is aimed at bringing the veterinary community together in order to help a good cause.
