This year at Virtual Congress 2021 we have three incredible keynote speakers. We’re looking forward to the knowledge that they’ll be sharing with us over VC2021. We hope that you’ll be joining us!

Claire Lomas

Claire Lomas MBE has an incredible story. Previously a world-class event rider, Claire was paralysed after an accident while riding. 8 weeks after being hospitalised, Claire discharged herself from Hospital and spent the next years walking the London Marathon in a one-of-its-kind robotic suit. Later progressing to handcycling 400 miles, and completing absolutely amazing races, walks and cycles. All while raising over 500,000GBP in the process for the Nicholls Spinal Injury Foundation! We’re looking forward to welcoming Claire to Virtual Congress 2021. You can hear from her as a keynote speaker on the 27th of February at 8am.

Julian Norton

Julian Norton is well known on Channel 5 for his role in The Yorkshire Vet. He is also the author of five books about his veterinary journey, making veterinary work accessible to the public.  Julian’s most recent book is “A Yorkshire Vet: The Next Chapter” in print this year, and contributes a weekly column in The Yorkshire Post. He somehow also finds time outside of veterinary work and writing to compete in triathlons and Iron Man races! You can catch his keynote speech at 3pm on the 27th of February, we’re looking forward to hearing from this special guest.

Sheridan Lathe

Sheridan Lathe, also known as Dr. Sheddy, founded Vet Tails in 2017 with the mission to provide free veterinary care to under-serviced regions of the world. After graduating James Cook University in Australia later working with Animal Asia rescuing Asiatic Black Bears from the bear bile trade, she holds a strong belief that as veterinarians we are responsible for the health and welfare of animals of the world. Sheridan travels in her sailboat ‘Chuffed’ providing free veterinary care around the world, dedicating her life to animal healthcare, welfare improvements, and global veterinary education.
